News release
Award-winning stand-up comic Jeff Frame stars in his first-ever one-man show, “An Upcycled Life,” directed by Ashley Taylor, this weekend at The Main in Old Town Newhall.
“Known for his sharp wit and comedic timing, Frame now turns the spotlight inward, diving into the heavier realms of autobiography with honesty, humor and heart,” said a news release from the city of Santa Clarita.
Frame shares the story of his life to date — battered and bruised though the path may be. Despite a childhood marked by abuse and neglect, he has pieced his experiences together to create something greater than the sum of its broken parts, the release said. “The result is a poignant, and at times humorous, reflection on the power of resilience in the face of adversity.”
Trigger warning: This performance includes discussion of physical and sexual abuse, as well as suicide.
Tickets ($19.07 senior/student and $22.23 general admission, including fees) are available for performances 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.
