Person killed in Sierra Highway traffic collision

At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on the 17000 block of West Sierra Highway on Thursday afternoon, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

There were at least two cars involved in the collision, according to Sgt. Jerome Gage with the station. 

Gage could not confirm whether the person was dead on arrival once deputies arrived on the scene. 

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the call at 3:33 p.m. and arrived at 3:41 p.m., according to Saadullah Sheikh with the Fire Department. 

Firefighters transported at least one person at 3:56 p.m., Sheikh said. 

Deputies are still investigating the scene, Gage said.
