The Santa Clarita Artists Association’s 35th annual Art Classic is scheduled to be celebrated Sept. 27-28 at The Centre.
The event, to be held in the Cedar Hall Ballroom at 20880 Centre Point Parkway, includes an awards and gala celebration from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. The venue will be open for art viewing 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28.
The judged art show is a fundraiser that helps support the SCAA’s high school art scholarship program, and its free, live art demonstrations to the public as well as the 6th Street Gallery in Old Town Newhall.
The judges are award-winning artists Laurie Hendrix and Liz Tucker.
Categories scheduled to be on display include Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Dry Media, Mixed Media, Photography, Sculpture and the Masters. All artwork is created by local artists and will be for sale.
A silent auction will be ongoing throughout the event, which also features hors d’oeuvres and live music.
