Titania K9 Fund is scheduled to hold its annual fundraiser the “Wanted Wild West Gala” to support the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles at the Sand Canyon Country Club in October.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 5 at the Sand Canyon Country Club and will begin at 1 p.m. and run to 4 p.m., according to the event’s flier. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Each year the nonprofit organization and its supporters gather to raise funds for the therapy dog program that provides comfort to terminally ill children and other patients at CHLA.

The Amerman Family Foundation Dog Therapy Program has been a program at the medical institution since 2001, and over the years the demand for the service has increased, according to the foundation’s page on the CHLA website.

To continue to provide the service for every inpatient unit at CHLA, Titania K9 Fund holds an annual fundraiser to support the foundation.

The event will have a buffet, a silent auction and raffle, music, and a cash bar, according to the flier. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and guests are encouraged to wear cowboy casual attire.

Those who attend will also have a chance to meet current CHLA therapy dogs and their handlers for photo ops, and some petting.

To purchase a ticket ($50) or for more information visit www.titaniak9fund.org.
