Two people were transported to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision resulted in one vehicle catching fire and the other having significant damage on Camp Plenty Road and Soledad Canyon Road on Sunday night, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies were dispatched to the call at 10:24 p.m. and arrived to the scene two minutes later due to being in the area, said Deputy Mariela Picard, public information officer with the station.
Picard said that both vehicles had significant damage after the collision, and one caught fire.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched at 10:27 p.m. and arrived on the scene at 10:34 p.m., according to Edith Lai, a spokeswoman for the Fire Department.
Firefighters transported at least one person, Lai said.
There is no additional information at the time of this publication, according to Lai.
