Santa Clarita planners are reviewing an application for a seven-home subdivision in the northeastern border of the city, near Agua Dulce, according to records obtained by The Signal.

“This project involves subdividing a vacant parcel (Assessor Identification No.) 2854-021-021 in Santa Clarita … into seven single-family residential lots and addition of new private road connecting from Daisy Medow (Street),” according to the undated application obtained through a Public Records Act request submitted in September.

The plan calls for homes next to an undeveloped lot just east of the 14800 block of Daisy Meadow Street, on land east of Grandifloras Road and west of Orchid Cove Drive. The lot is 92,667 square feet, according to records at the L.A. County Assessor’s Office, which puts the property at 2.13 acres.

The property’s registered owner is RM Dev Inc., registered to the same address listed for the applicant, a Newhall address for Rahil Shrivastava.

He could not be reached Friday at the number listed on the plan’s application. City officials did not release the site plan mentioned in the applicant’s request and were not immediately available to answer questions Friday afternoon.

“The new road will meet Los Angeles County Fire Department access standards and include utility easements for water, sewer, power and stormwater systems,” according to the application. “Each lot will comply with local zoning and development codes for single-family residential development. The subdivision supports the city’s housing goals while maintaining neighborhood character and minimizing traffic impact.”
