News release

iLEAD Agua Dulce is launching the Campus Legacy Project, a school-wide, cross-grade and cross-curricular initiative that embodies the school’s project-based learning approach, inviting students to take ownership of their campus by improving and beautifying the spaces where they learn, grow and connect, the tuition-free public charter school announced in a news release.

The public is invited to attend this all-school event featuring the work of students from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. The exhibition is scheduled 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23.

Attendees will have the opportunity to view and interact with students’ presentations of learning, a key part of project-based learning, the release said. Students will share how they have worked together to enhance and beautify their learning environment.

The Campus Legacy Project is designed to empower students to take ownership of their campus. Students collaborated to design and enhance various outdoor spaces, including three new pumpkin patch garden beds, an outdoor amphitheater, bug hotels, an owl box, and creative art features that celebrate student voice and community pride.

“This ‘legacy’ represents the lasting mark our learners are leaving on their campus — one that future generations will continue to build upon,” School Director Wendy Maxwell said in the release. “Through collaboration, creativity, and care, our students are not just transforming their environment; they are strengthening their connection to one another and their community.”

The iLEAD Agua Dulce Campus is located at 11311 Frascati St., Agua Dulce.
