The Valencia girls’ tennis team is set to host the Fall Brawl tournament, a competition on Saturday featuring four high schools from the Santa Clarita Valley and Southern California region.
The Fall Brawl tournament, making its return for the first time since 2019, is to be held at Valencia High School and it is the 25th year of the competition.
The tournament will feature three Foothill League teams — Golden Valley, Saugus and Valencia — along with Louisville High School of Woodland Hills.
Each school will enter six players and participate in a single-elimination bracket, and there will be a consolation bracket that has winners.
Other than the individual awards, the overall team championship will also be handed out to the team that accumulates the most points. The score will be decided by each player’s individual points earned in the tournament.
A junior varsity tournament was played on Oct. 11, and the Valencia girls’ tennis team was the champion, with the same schools participating in the varsity tournament.
Players and teams will compete for individual trophies and championships with the tournament starting at 8 a.m. with singles and doubles matches.
