Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station located an embezzled vehicle on Wednesday morning in Newhall, according to a station official.
When patrolling the area deputies came across a car that was possibly embezzled at approximately 9:45 a.m. near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Bouquet Canyon Road, said Deputy Nicholas Hoslet, a spokesman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
The incident occurred not too far from the Saugus Cafe and a high presence of law enforcement could be seen during the traffic stop, according to footage circulating on social media.
An embezzled vehicle could mean the car was not necessarily considered “stolen,” but had not been returned to its rightful owner, Hoslet added. Information on the exact circumstances were not immediately available at the time of this story’s publication.
