The Santa Clarita Master Chorale, a community choral ensemble dedicated to performing high-quality choral works, invites the community to “Illuminate the Season,” on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m. at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia.
“Experience the radiant beauty of Dan Forrest’s ‘Lux,’ a breathtaking choral masterpiece that weaves shimmering harmonies and luminous melodies to celebrate the season’s glow. Envelop yourself in the radiance of the heavenly host as they fill the air with their breathtaking ‘Gloria! Gloria!’” said a news release from the choral group. “Delight in cherished holiday favorites that sparkle with joy, and cap off the night with a lively caroling sing-along that invites everyone to shine together. This dazzling event is a holiday must-see, promising to light up your festive season with song and celebration — don’t miss the glow.”
The Chorale will also be hosting its ninth annual Messiah Sing-Along on Monday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at Valencia United Methodist Church, 25718 McBean Parkway, Valencia.
The event will include featured soloists and an orchestra as the audience sings along with the beloved choruses. Bring your own score or borrow one at the door. Admission for the Messiah Sing-Along is free, but donations are welcome. Tickets for Illuminate the Season are $10 for children 3-17, seniors, students and first responders are $25 and general admission is $40.
