Valencia’s’ Eliana Saga named Foothill League girls’ golfer of the year

or the second season in a row, the Foothill League has announced Valencia’s Eliana Saga was named the league’s girls’ golfer of the year following an historic season from the junior.  

Saga, who finished the 2025 regular season as the individual champion through six rounds of play in league, qualified for the California Interscholastic Federation state championship held at Poppy Hills in Pebble Beach, and tied for11th out of the 54 best golfers in the state.  

Prior to the state championship, Saga participated In the CIF Southern Section championship held in Temecula Creek and finished as the runner up in the sectional and took home honors alongside her teammate, Kara An, who placed third.  

Saga is the first golfer, regardless of gender, in Valencia High School history to have competed on the state level and first in the Santa Clarita Valley since Zoe Campos of West Ranch in 2017. 

In addition, the Foothill League also announced the rest of its all-league selections: 

  • Kara An, junior, Valencia. 
  • Chloe Busnawi, senior, West Ranch. 
  • Kathryn Mong, senior, West Ranch. 
  • Lauren Silva, senior, Valencia. 
  • Phoebe Tsao, freshman, West Ranch. 
  • Zoe Greif, freshman, West Ranch.
