Braun awarded degree from Miami University 

Evan Braun, of Valencia, was among nearly 4,800 students from Miami University who received degrees during the spring commencement held on May 17. 

Braun graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business, majoring in finance. 

Miami University is a public university located in Oxford, Ohio, with a student body of over 22,000. 

Established in 1809, Miami University is located in Oxford, Ohio, with regional campuses in Hamilton and Middletown, a learning center in West Chester, and a European study center in Luxembourg.  

Miami serves more than 22,600 undergraduates across more than 100 areas of study, and more than 2,200 graduate students through 78 master’s and doctoral degree programs. Miami is an NCAA Division I school, serving more than 500 student-athletes across 19 varsity sports. 

Bonfiglio participating in Alabama’s Cooperative Education Program 

University of Alabama student Alexander Bonfiglio, of Canyon Country, is participating in UA’s Cooperative Education Program during the fall 2025 semester. Bonfiglio is working for Southern Co. 

In the Cooperative Education Program, students alternate periods of full-time study with periods of full-time employment. This program offers work related to the academic major or career interests of each student. 

While in school, students carry regular course schedules. While on co-op, they work with professionals in their fields who supervise their training and work. At work, co-op students earn competitive salaries and may receive benefit packages in addition to valuable job experience. Participants maintain their full-time student status while at work and have priority registration status each semester through graduation. 

The University of Alabama, part of The University of Alabama System, is the state’s flagship university. 

Osbron earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree 

Joshua Alexander Osbron, of Santa Clarita, was among 548 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during a combined graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremony Aug. 16 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. 

Osbron earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the College of Business. 

Chancellor Rodney D. Bennett presided over the commencement ceremony. 

 The graduates are from 39 countries; 34 U.S. states and Puerto Rico; and 70-plus Nebraska communities.
