Valencia High School junior girls’ golfer Eliana Saga, who’s verbally committed to the University of Southern California and placed 11th in the California Interscholastic Federation state championship, has been named to the U.S. National junior team.

“Stevenson Ranch native Eliana Saga has been named to the 2026 U.S. National Junior Team, placing her among the nation’s elite junior golfers. Saga earns her first national team selection, reflecting her rise through top-level junior competition,” said a news release from the United States Golf Association.

By making the team, Saga earned her first national team selection and will join the 2026 roster, which features 12 boys and girls from 10 states representing the United States in an effort “to create a unified pathway designed to nurture the potential of America’s top players.”

Players from the team will receive year-round support, including world-class coaching, analysis, sports psychology, and nutritional guidance, according to the USGA release.

“[Saga’s] selection comes through the USGA’s U.S. National Development Program, which provides year-round coaching, sports science and competitive support.”

Saga finished the 2025 fall season as the Foothill League player of the year and was a runner up in the 2025 American Junior Golf Association junior championship.

The junior golfer also finished tied for third in the 2024 Rolex Tournament of Champions and 2024 U.S women’s amateur.
