A 2-year-old was airlifted after falling out of an apartment window in the 1800 block of Erik Court Friday night.

The child was fully conscious and heard crying on the call to Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputies when the caller told deputies the child had fallen, said Sgt. Joana Waren.

There was no evidence of criminal activity and no arrests were made.

Deputies received that call at 7:17 p.m. and responded two minutes later, along with the L.A. County Fire Department. The child was transported to the Northridge Hospital Medical Center for treatment, but Warren said she couldn’t disclose how severe the child’s injuries were.

She added that because the incident was non-criminal, she couldn’t disclose the circumstances or severity of the fall.
