A 37-year-old Saugus man was held at gunpoint after a felony traffic stop by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies at the intersection of Urbandale Avenue and Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to officials with the station.
Deputies also referenced over dispatch radio that the suspect may be connected to a “187,” the California penal code for murder. Sgt. Anthony Levin with the station confirmed it was connected to a warrant on suspicion of attempted murder.
He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department booking logs.
