The Paseo Aquatics Swim Club announced the addition of Santa Clarita Valley native Tim Lim to its coaching staff, following a tenure at Canyons Aquatics.
“Coach Tim’s commitment to the Santa Clarita Valley competitive swimming scene is grounded in deep local roots and an accomplished athletic career … Coach Tim has held leadership roles across club and high school levels, including serving as head coach at Hart High School from fall of 2022 to spring of 2025,” reads a Paseo Aquatics news release.
Paseo Aquatics head coach Chris Dahowski added that the hiring of Lim “adds even greater depth to our already exceptional staff and reinforces our dedication to providing the highest level of technical, emotional and motivational support for our athletes,” according to the release from the nonprofit club.
In addition, Paseo Aquatics announced a “Meet the Coaches” panel featuring Santa Clarita Valley high school swim coaches on Feb. 5.
The event is to be moderated by Lim and is planned to cover topics that preview “practical insight into today’s high school swim environment, with a focus on athlete development, healthy training culture, and long-term success.”
Attendees will get to hear from high school head coaches including Jim Klipfil of Saugus, Sean Kakumu of Hart, Mike Leathers of Trinity, Kearsten Livingstone of West Ranch, and Melissa Simmons of Golden Valley.
The event is free to attend, open to the public and is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at The Centre, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, roomSycamore B.
