A blue Honda endured major front-end damage and one person was transported after it crashed in the No. 1 lane on Interstate 5 northbound just south of McBean Parkway on Monday morning, according to an official with the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office.
Officers received the call of the traffic collision at 10:48 a.m., according to Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez with the CHP.
The Honda ended up in the center divider, and there were no other vehicles involved, Burgos-Lopez said.
Officers temporarily closed lanes to move the Honda, but reopened soon after, Burgos-Lopez said.
The driver was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with minor injuries, Burgos-Lopez added.
