John Boston, an author, local historian and columnist for The Signal, is scheduled Sunday to host a presentation on “humorous and secret tales on Santa Clarita Valley newspaper legends Ruth and Scott Newhall” at the Rancho Camulos Museum in Piru, according to a news release from the museum.
The presentation begins at noon at the museum, 5164 E. Telegraph Road, about 15 minutes west of Santa Clarita on State Route 126.
Boston writes a weekly column that appears Fridays on The Signal’s opinion page, as well as the weekly “Time Ranger” column on local history that appears Saturdays on page A2.
Guests are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy after the presentation on the Rancho Camulos National Historic Landmark grounds, and docent-led guided tours will be offered.
The suggested donation for the event is $10. You can prepay at ranchocamulos.org or make your donation to the nonprofit museum at the door.
