A 32-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted arson and misdemeanor vandalism on Friday afternoon at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to officials with the station.
The man allegedly lit paper on fire inside the station’s lobby and tampered with a surveillance camera, causing damage to the wall, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of felony attempted arson and misdemeanor vandalism and remains in custody as of the publication of this story with bail set at $75,000, Miller’s statement said.
