A 65-year-old Val Verde man was arrested on suspicion of felony robbery charges after taking merchandise without paying from a store on the 28000 block of Newhall Ranch Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The store was The Home Depot, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman with the station, during a phone interview.
When confronted by a store employee, the suspect allegedly pushed the employee before attempting to leave the location, according to an email statement from Miller.
He remains in custody with bail set at $50,000 as of the publication of this story, Miller’s statement said.
