A man was arrested on suspicion of DUI after an enforcement stop resulted in him trying to flee the scene and hitting an officer on State Route 14 on Saturday night, according to an official with California Highway Patrol Traffic Management.
The incident happened around 8:14 p.m. when officers executed an enforcement stop on a Toyota Tacoma, according to Officer Michael Nasir with Traffic Management.
The suspect made an attempt to flee and ultimately hurt the officer, Nasir said.
The officer was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries, Nasir added.
