A two-vehicle traffic collision ended in one person being transported after a Lexus sedan flipped on its side into the Tesoro del Valle water fountain and caught fire on Monday morning.

The other car was a Mercedes Benz SUV and had damage on the right front of the car.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the traffic collision at 10:35 a.m., according to Edith Lai, spokeswoman for the Fire Department.

They arrived on the scene at 10:37 p.m., Lai said.

The Lexus sedan was quickly extinguished and was sitting on the driver’s side waiting for a tow truck to fish it out of the fountain.

There was one transport at 10:58 a.m., Lai added.
