A 51-year-old Valencia man was arrested on suspicion of assault of a deadly weapon after he pointed a knife at his wife on the 24800 block of Sand Wedge Lane in Valencia on Sunday afternoon, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The incident was reported at 4:40 p.m., according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
The incident reportedly began as an argument that escalated, during which the suspect allegedly pointed a kitchen knife at the victim, the statement said.
The suspect remains in custody in lieu of $30,000 bail, Miller’s statement said.
