A 21-year-old Newhall transient was arrested on suspicion of vandalism after allegedly damaging a person’s vehicle with a knife on the 24700 block of Newhall Avenue on Saturday evening, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Responding deputies located the suspect, who was uncooperative, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
He was taken into custody and arrested on suspicion of felony charges of vandalism, as well as misdemeanor charges of resisting a peace officer and being drunk in public, the statement said.
