A stolen black Ford Ranger was found at a barber shop on the intersection of Camp Plenty Road and Soledad Canyon Road after a family reported their vehicle was stolen on March 12, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The call for service came in at 5:28 p.m. Friday after the son of the owner noticed his father’s car in the parking lot of the barbershop and two people, a man and a woman, were in the pickup truck, according to Sgt. R. Arambulo with the station, who declined to give his first name.

Arambulo said the vehicle had stolen plates on it as well.

Deputies located the stolen vehicle and executed a felony stop with guns drawn on the vehicle. A man and a woman were arrested at gunpoint, and a spoon, meth, and heroin were recovered from the vehicle, according to a witness on the scene.

Several stolen items, including a husky tool, backpack, and multiple bed comforters from target were also in the car. The suspects also had a pit bull in the vehicle, and it was turned over to L.A. County animal control, according to the witness at the scene.

When asked if Arambulo could confirm the pit bull being in the pickup, whether the suspects were held at gunpoint, and what was taken in as evidence from the scene, he said he could not confirm anything due to the report not being readily available at the time of this publication.
