Deputies: Suspect outstanding after she hits man with her car

A woman is outstanding after she hit a man with her Toyota Corolla on the 24200 block of west Lyons Avenue in Newhall on Sunday afternoon, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

The call came out at 2:30 p.m. as a report of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to Sgt. Jonathan Elizarraraz with the station. 

Elizarraraz said the victim and the suspect knew each other and that it was possibly linked to a domestic issue. 

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to the scene at 2:36 p.m., according to Pauline McGee, spokeswoman for the Fire Department. 

McGee said there were no reports of transports or people treated for injuries.  

Firefighters closed the call at 2:47 p.m., she added. 

The suspect is currently outstanding at the time of this publication, Elizarraraz said.
