A 42-year-old Santa Clarita woman was arrested on suspicion of criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon after attempting to stab her father with a knife on the 27600 block of Ironstone Drive in Canyon Country on Monday morning, according to an official with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Deputies responded to the call around 11 a.m. regarding a call for service involving an assault with a deadly weapon, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
It was reported that the suspect attempted to stab her father with a knife and deputies located and arrested the suspect on suspicion of felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats, the statement said.
She is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail and is at the station’s jail as of the publication of this story.
