A silver Toyota Tacoma hit a light pole in the early hours of Wednesday morning near the Newhall Avenue offramp by the State Route 14 freeway, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Initial calls came around 6 a.m. to the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office given the incident’s location, according to Shirley Miller, spokeswoman with the station.
However, with further investigation, deputies are handling the hit-and-run because it was within city limits, Miller added.
She said there were no people in the car at the time of the incident.
The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run, Miller said.
