A small 10-foot-by-10-foot grass fire was quickly extinguished by a fire extinguisher on the 31400 block of Castaic Road on Thursday morning, according to an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The initial call went out as a pole fire, but was changed to a vegetation fire, according to the PulsePoint app.
Multiple units were dispatched before Fire Station 76 announced they could handle the grass fire, per radio dispatch traffic.
The call went out at 9:11 a.m. and was closed at 9:44 a.m., according to Capt. Brian Kight with the Fire Department.
Kight said the origin of the fire was unknown at the time of this publication.
