An incident between neighbors quickly escalated after the area of McBean Parkway and Valencia Boulevard was shut down and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies brought rifles and guns surrounding an apartment complex on the 24400 block of Valencia Boulevard on Sunday afternoon, according to officials with the station.
Initial reports were about residents causing a disturbance and possibly involving a weapon around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. Josh Nemeth with the station.
When deputies arrived at the scene and did an investigation, they realized there was no crime, according to Sgt. Jonathan Elizarraraz with the station.
Elizarraraz added that deputies downgraded the incident and cleared the scene after 15 to 20 minutes.
