Mail truck collision with sedan results in 2 transports

Two people were transported to a hospital after a mail truck and a red Honda sedan were involved in a traffic collision in a residential area on Prima Way and Propello Drive on Monday afternoon, according to an official with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The initial call went out at 12:28 p.m. about a two-vehicle traffic collision and firefighters were on the scene at 12:35 p.m., according to Edith Lai, spokeswoman with the Fire Department.  

There were two transports and the call closed at 1:22 p.m., Lai added.

The mail truck had significant damage to the side and front of the car. The red Honda had damage to the front end of the car as well.  

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies and local towing personnel were picking up all the mail. A mailbox was broken next to the mail truck as well.
