New and revised course adoptions for the 2026-27 school year are on the consent calendar for the William S. Hart Union High School District’s Wednesday governing board meeting.
Other items on the agenda include the personnel commission budget listed as an information item, and school site reports on William S. Hart High School and Learning Post Academy.
The courses are recommended for adoption and are set to be used beginning the upcoming school year. They fall under the special education, fine arts and electives departments, according to the agenda available online.
According to the agenda item, classes recommended for approval are: Foundational Algebra A/B and C/D, Foundational Art A/B, Foundational English A/B, Found Personal Finance A/B, Foundational Geometry A/B, Found Career Awareness A/B, and more.
The item focuses on the district’s No. 1 strategic goal, which is student learning and instruction.
The Personnel Commission conducted a public hearing on its proposed 2026-27 budget on April 16. Three areas are set for approval, including salary statutory and health benefits, supplies and equipment replacement, and operating expenses, according to the agenda item. The item supports the district’s strategic goal No. 4, financial and human resources.
Hart High Principal Jason d’Autremont and Assistant Principal Elizabeth Wilson will also provide an update to the board and community during the meeting on the work aimed to support student success.
