Three people wearing all black, and possibly ski masks, were observed attempting to break into vehicles during the early hours of Wednesday in Canyon Country, a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station official said.
The incident was reported near Fairweather Street and Shangri- La Drive at approximately 1:46 a.m., according to Shirley Miller, a spokeswoman for the station. The caller stated three people were acting suspicious in the area looking into vehicles.
The caller then located three empty purses that were possibly left behind, Miller added. Age, gender and other details describing the suspects were not available, she added.
Deputies did not locate the suspects at the reported location. They took a report for the lost property located by the caller and no arrests were made, Miller added.
