A two-vehicle traffic collision occurred near Valencia High School on Friday afternoon, causing traffic delays amid school dismissal time, near the intersection of Dickason Drive and Smyth Drive in Valencia.
The collision was reported at 3:06 p.m. involving two blue SUVs with airbags deployed, prompting the Los Angeles County Fire Department and deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to respond to the scene.
Circumstances of how the collision occurred were not immediately available, according to Sgt. Mourad Kabanjian, with the SCV Sheriff’s Station. No injuries were reported.
Pauline McGee, spokeswoman for the L.A. County Fire Department, said that first responders arrived within five minutes of when the crash occurred, and no transports to the hospital were reported.
It was the second collision at that same intersection in two days. Two vehicles collided there on Thursday at 7:53 a.m.
