Jurupe Named to dean’s list at Stanislaus State
Stanislaus State recognized Kevin Jurupe, of Canyon Country, majoring in psychology, for outstanding academic achievements, earning a place on the fall 2025 dean’s list.
This honor is awarded to students who have demonstrated superior academic performance by maintaining a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester.
California State University, Stanislaus, serves a student body of nearly 10,000 at two locations in the Central Valley: a 228-acre campus in Turlock and the Stockton Campus, located in the city’s historic Magnolia District. The University offers 43 majors, 41 minors and more than 100 areas of concentration, along with 16 master’s degree programs, seven credential programs and a doctorate in educational leadership.
3 local students named to Lincoln University dean’s list
Lincoln University of Missouri announced three local students were named to the spring 2026 dean’s list.
The dean’s list comprises full-time undergraduate students earning a minimum term GPA of 3.00, excluding grades in courses that do not carry credit toward graduation.
The spring 2026 dean’s list honorees include the following local students:
• Nia Edwards, of Canyon Country.
• Nyla Edwards, of Canyomn Country.
• Courtney-Nicole Cooper, of Valencia.
Lincoln University of Missouri is a historically Black, 1890 land-grant, public university in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The university was founded in 1866 by the men of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantries and their white officers for the benefit of freed African Americans.
2 local students named to MSOE honors list
Milwaukee School of Engineering announced two local students were named to the spring semester 2026 honors list.
Andrew VanDyke, of Valencia, is pursuing a bachelor of science in industrial engineering.
Madison Fredeking, of Santa Clarita, is pursuing a bachelor of science in nursing.
Students taking undergraduate courses who have earned at least 12 credits in residence at MSOE, are in good academic standing, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher are on the dean’s list.
Milwaukee School of Engineering is an independent, nonprofit university. It has about 3,000 students and was founded in 1903. MSOE offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, computer science, business, nursing, mathematics, user experience, and construction management.
Local students named to Marquette dean’s list
Local student James Frias has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2026 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Frias, of Santa Clarita, is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in business economics.
To make the dean’s list, students must have earned at least 12 credits for the spring 2026 semester and have no disqualifying grades. The GPA threshold varies by college.
Marquette University is a Catholic, Jesuit university that draws over 8,000 undergraduate and 3,700 graduate and professional students from nearly all states and more than 60 countries.
