Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were dispatched to a sheared hydrant on Avenue Mentry on Tuesday morning, according to officials with the Fire Department.
The call went out at 8:19 a.m., with firefighters arriving nine minutes later, according to Pauline McGee, spokeswoman for the Fire Department.
McGee said she could not confirm how the hydrant was sheared but said the initial call came in as a semi-truck hitting it.
The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency was advised, McGee added.
The call closed at 8:36 a.m., according to McGee.
