News release

Local author Melinda Smith has released a murder mystery novel, “I Killed Allison.”

“I started working on a murder mystery in October called ‘I Killed Allison,’” Smith, 24, said in a news release. “My book takes place in Southern California with the year being 2026. Psychologist and 53-three-year old mother Allison is found dead one December morning.”

The suspects include Frances, who’s Allison’s unemployed 23-year-old daughter, Jake, a client Allison broke policy for in order to date, and Dawna, an intern who failed 34 internships prior to joining Allison’s practice, the release said.

“Is Allison as innocent as she seems? The boxers covered in blood lying by the side of her two-story house — who do those really belong to?”

“I Killed Allison” is available for purchase online.
