The city of Santa Clarita presented an opening reception of Karen Nguyen’s “Beyond the Horizon: An Exploration of Earth, Ocean and Space” on Wednesday at the Canyon Country Community Center. Inspired by objects, such as wine glasses, and places, such as Vietnam, Nguyen utilized the concepts that mean most to her for art enthusiasts to observe and appreciate. Nguyen’s work will be on display from now until Oct. 28.
