Attic fire quickly extinguished in Canyon Country

A home on the 28000 block of Wildwind Road had smoke coming from the attic in the early hours of Tuesday, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. 

The call went out at 3:47 a.m., with firefighters saying they saw smoke in the attic of the two-story home, according to Edit Lai, spokeswoman for the Fire Department. 

The fire was knocked down around 4:10 a.m., Lai said. The incident was closed around 5 a.m., she added. 

Lai said there were no injuries or significant damage reported and she could not confirm the cause as it is under investigation at the time of this publication.
