The magic of music and dance come to Buzz Classic Movies on Saturday night with a streaming presentation of “Second Chorus,” starring Fred Astaire and Paulette Goddard.
The 1941 classic also features a young Burgess Meredith.
“Two music students, rather than face the responsibilities of life, repeatedly fail their exams so that they can stay in college,” says the Rotten Tomatoes summary of the movie. “The students change their attitude, however, when they meet a woman who agrees to be their manager and both attempt to woo her as a way of getting a job in Artie Shaw’s band. Featuring the Oscar-nominated ‘Would You Like to Be the Love of My Life?’”
“Second Chorus” streams at 8 p.m. Saturday on The Signal’s streaming channel, The Buzz, available at buzzscv.com as well as streaming platforms including Roku and Apple TV.
