A 35-year-old man and 29-year-old woman from Saugus were arrested after a domestic violence incident on the 28500 block of High Ridge Drive in Saugus on Saturday morning, according to officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The call went out at 10:45 a.m. about a husband and wife who reportedly became involved in a verbal argument, during which the wife allegedly slapped her husband. The husband also allegedly threatened to harm his wife, according to an email statement from Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the station.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of a misdemeanor domestic battery, and the husband was arrested on suspicion of felony criminal threats, Miller’s statement said.
Both were released on bond on Saturday and SCV Sheriff’s Station detectives’ investigation into the incident is ongoing, the statement said.
