A Saugus man facing narcotics and weapons charges was denied bail at a recent hearing at the San Fernando Courthouse.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested Andre Michael Tabnak, 45, following an investigation into drugs and weapons found in the 30800 block of Gorman Post Road.

Tabnak was arrested along with Amber Urdank, a 37-year-old Saugus woman, after SCV Sheriff’s Station deputies found the pair in the home of a woman who was deceased.

After suspecting that the pair had broken into the residence and were living there illegally, deputies searched the residence and found guns, drugs and two juveniles.

Urdank was released four days after she was taken into custody on her own recognizance.

Tabnak was charged with second-degree burglary, weapons possession and a narcotics violation.

Due to his previous charges, Tabnak is being held in lieu of more than $300,000 bail.

He has pleaded not guilty to all of his charges. He’s due back in court on Oct. 21.
