Man transported following fiery crash

A 23-year-old man was transported to the hospital in unknown condition following a fiery solo vehicle crash in Canyon Country in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to a Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station official.  

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Camp Plenty Road at approximately 1:41 a.m. following reports of a solo vehicle crash, according to Sgt. Ryan Elsee with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.  

Circumstances to how the crash occurred was under active investigation and additional information was not available, but the driver of the vehicle was identified as a 23-year-old man, he added. His condition was not known.  

The vehicle burst into flames and prompted a multi-agency response from the California Highway Patrol, and Los Angeles County Fire Department, according to observations from the scene.
