Assemblywoman Pilar Schiavo, D-Chatsworth, is scheduled Friday to host her annual Senior Resource Fair to connect seniors with valuable information, services, and resources to support healthy and safe aging, said a news release from the assemblywoman’s office.
The resource fair, presented in partnership with Rep. George Whitesides, D-Agua Dulce, and the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center, is scheduled 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the center, 27180 Golden Valley Road, Santa Clarita.
The event will feature interactive discussions, Q&A opportunities, informational resource tables, and activities designed specifically for the senior community, the release said.
Topics and resources will include: public health; retirement and finances; veterans services; memory care; Medicare and Social Security; community safety; scam and theft prevention; and, social programs and support.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect directly with local organizations, experts and service providers, the release said.
The Senior Resource Fair is free and open to the public.
