A 38-year-old Newhall man was arrested on suspicion of sexual battery involving the touching of another person’s intimate area, according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department booking logs.
The initial report is being investigated by the Detective Bureau of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to Sgt. Joseph Mesa of the Special Victims Bureau.
He indicated that the allegation involved a woman who filed a complaint alleging the suspect had groped her over her clothes.
He is currently being held with bail, according to the logs.
The location of the incident was not immediately made available.
