Canyon Drama Spring Play: ‘The Marriage of Figaro’

7 p.m. May 8, 9 and 11. (No show on Friday, May 10.) 

“The Marriage of Figaro” is comedic farce written by Beaumarchais. The story revolves around Figaro, his employer, the Count, the Count’s wife, Rosina, and Figaro’s soon-to-be-wife, Suzanna. Class warfare and shenanigans affect all of the four main characters in a major “battle of the sexes.” The Count has already grown bored with his marriage and is taking notice of Suzanna. The Count looks to have a “rendezvous” with Suzanna before her wedding to Figaro, but Figaro has other plans, as does Suzanna … as does the Countess.
