CBS Film Series presents ’39 Pounds of Love’

Join us for the last outdoor screening under the stars this season. Bring your chairs, blankets, and jackets as we sit under the stars to watch the movie outdoors. We will serve snacks but feel free to bring your own treats. Ami Ankilewitz, a young man with muscular dystrophy given only six years to live and weighing a mere 39 pounds, perseveres despite being immobile except for one finger. At age 34 and now a 3-D animator, he takes a cross-country journey of a lifetime to find the doctor responsible for the grim diagnosis decades earlier. This heartfelt film is a testament to Ami’s remarkable will to live and come to terms with but never accept his limitations.
