CBS Film Series presents ‘Latter Day Jew’

“Converting to Judaism isn’t something to be taken lightly, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be funny.” Join us on Sunday, September 8  for the screening of  “Latter Day Jew.”

We are so fortunate to welcome comedian H. Alan Scott, Director Aliza Rosen and Producer Todd Shotz for a Q&A following the film.

Scott is a gay, former Mormon, converted Jew and cancer survivor. The film chronicles his hilarious and often moving journey from his Mormon upbringing to his Jewish conversion and the challenges along the way.

Preparing for his Bar Mitzvah at the age of 35, the film takes you to New York, Los Angeles and Israel, showing that spiritual and cultural identity is deeper than what we were born into or what we were taught. Featuring comedian Judy Gold and clips from famous onscreen conversions, this journey is not to be missed!!
