CBS Film Series ‘Running on Sand’

Congregation Beth Shalom’s CBS Film Series is scheduled to present a screening of “Running on Sand.” In the film, Aumari, a young Eritrean refugee, is about to be deported back to his home country. During a chaotic moment at the airport, he is mistaken for a Nigerian professional soccer star. Aumari boldly steps into a new identity and is suddenly thrust into the spotlight as he joins a struggling soccer team despite having no real soccer skills.
