CBS Film Series: ‘The Blond Boy from the Casbah’  

The CBS Film Series presents a heartfelt coming-of-age film based on the filmmaker’s youth. This autobiographical dramedy recreates the vibrant Mediterranean city of Algiers in the late 1950s to early 1960s. Filmmaker Antoine travels to his birthplace with his young son to present his latest film. As he retraces his steps through the city that shaped him, he revisits a vivid tapestry of laughter, happiness and tears of his childhood. Adapted from director Alexandre Arcady’s memoir.
